Vitamin

Biotin (Vitamin B7)

The "beauty vitamin" — essential for hair growth, nail strength, and healthy skin.

What It Is

Biotin is a water-soluble B vitamin that serves as a cofactor for carboxylase enzymes involved in fatty acid synthesis, gluconeogenesis, and amino acid metabolism. Its most prominent clinical role is in the structural support of keratin — the protein that forms hair, nails, and skin. Biotin deficiency presents as hair thinning, brittle nails, and scaly skin. IV delivery provides superior absorption compared to oral supplements.

What It Does

  • Promotes hair growth and thickness
  • Strengthens brittle nails
  • Supports healthy skin texture
  • Involved in carbohydrate and fat metabolism
  • Supports nerve function

Clinical Considerations

Extremely safe. Note: high-dose biotin can interfere with certain laboratory tests (thyroid, troponin) — inform your doctor if tests are planned within 48 hours of treatment.
