Bioactive Compound

Phosphatidylcholine

A phospholipid that forms cell membranes, supports liver health, and improves cognitive function.

What It Is

Phosphatidylcholine (PC) is the most abundant phospholipid in human cell membranes, constituting up to 50% of the lipid bilayer. It is essential for hepatocyte (liver cell) integrity, bile production, and the repair of cell membranes damaged by toxins, alcohol, or ageing. PC also provides choline for acetylcholine synthesis, supporting memory, focus, and neuromuscular function.

What It Does

  • Repairs and builds cell membranes
  • Supports liver health and detoxification
  • Improves cognitive function and memory
  • Emulsifies and reduces fatty deposits
  • Supports bile flow and fat digestion

Clinical Considerations

Generally well tolerated. May cause mild flushing or GI symptoms if infused too rapidly. A clinical assessment is required.
