Vitamin

Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid)

A potent antioxidant that supports immunity, skin collagen synthesis, and cellular protection.

What It Is

Ascorbic acid is a water-soluble vitamin that the human body cannot produce on its own. When delivered intravenously, it achieves plasma concentrations up to 70× higher than oral supplementation, allowing it to function as a powerful antioxidant, immune modulator, and collagen co-factor at a cellular level.

What It Does

  • Supports immune function
  • Stimulates collagen production
  • Neutralises free radicals
  • Enhances iron absorption
  • Promotes wound healing

Clinical Considerations

Generally well tolerated. High-dose IV Vitamin C is not recommended for patients with G6PD deficiency or kidney disease. A clinical assessment is required before treatment.
